On Behalf of | Oct 2, 2014 | Trucking Accidents

Louisiana State Troopers are seeking information about a tractor driver who may have been the cause of a serious semi-trailer accident just before 8:00 pm on Tuesday night.

The accident occurred on Louisiana Highway 67 just north of Highway 422 in East Feliciana Parish. According to police, a tractor was traveling northbound in the middle of Highway 67 towards the state line. As two semi-trailers approached the unlit farm tractor, each driver took action to avoid the tractor which led to the collision.

The two tractor-trailers were severely damaged and one driver, Lacey David, was seriously injured. Additionally, logs and diesel fuel spilled onto the road which led to extended road closures.

State troopers believe that the farm tractor driver continued traveling northbound. Police are seeking the public’s help in finding the owner of the tractor, anyone with information can contact Louisiana State Police Troop A by calling (225) 754-8524.
