Matthew Pertuit, is originally from Metairie, Louisiana, having moved to Baton Rouge in 2006 to attend Louisiana State University. While attending LSU, he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in History in 2010. Following his graduation from LSU, Matthew attended law school at Southern University Law Center, earning a Juris Doctorate (J.D.) in 2014.
Matthew has been admitted and is licensed to practice law in the State Louisiana and before all state courts within the same. He is also eligible for admission to practice before all Federal Courts sitting in the State of Louisiana. His practice area of focus with the firm is litigation. Prior to joining the firm, Matthew gained significant personal injury litigation experience at firms in both Baton Rouge and New Orleans. He has Courtroom experience in handling contested cases, motions and other matters involving a variety of legal issues, and has had significant roles and involvement in preparing those cases for trial. This experience will well serve clients having serious injury claims and/or other contested matters involving off shore injury, seaman and maritime cases, careless operation of commercial trucks and 18 wheelers, and other types of injury, etc.
Matthew joined the litigation division of Simien and Simien in 2018, and looks forward to continuing his work helping injury clients and those needing legal counsel and assistance in matters pending throughout the State of Louisiana.
